Non-Profit Community Programs and Funding Development Conference

A unique and valuable experience for students and community members, alike!

The Non-Profit Community Programs and Funding Development Conference consists of two workshop-type classes open to OPD students, as well as local community members, interested in non-profit program development. All participants may sign up for one or both days and students can earn course credit!

Participants will be presented with the essential steps of Program Development, the fundamentals of Grant Writing, and the vital components of Partnerships and Collaborations –particularly crucial in today’s world, when so many grants require teamwork and cooperation.

The conference will offer lunch-time panel discussions, featuring key members of local non-profit organizations. As audience members listen to and interact with those working in the non-profit arena, they will gain insight to this unique combination of work, community involvement, and program development. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to make new connections and form networks full of possibilities.

Eastern Illinois University Students: May earn up to 1 semester hour of course credit per workshop, which will include additional work including online activities and discussions, at the conclusion of each component. Session facilitators will be instructors for the corresponding online component. (Students will earn 1 S.H. for attending one full day of activities and completing an online course component.)
