Purpose

The purpose(s) of the Philosophy Club at Eastern Illinois University is to promote open and intelligent discussion about potentially controversial topics across the Eastern Illinois University campus. Philosophy Club presents forums on issues such as capital punishment, abortion, the metaphysics of time, and the existence of God. Students critique papers, present articles for discussion, show and discuss films, and sponsor panels, debates, and speakers.
