POSITIONS

Chair

The University Board Chair provides strategic leadership and oversight to the Program Leads and University Board Committees, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and a strong campus impact. This role collaborates closely with student leaders to plan and execute major campus traditions such as Welcome Weekend and Panther Bash, fostering school spirit and community engagement. The Chair also supports leadership development, coordination, and accountability across all University Board initiatives. Chair must serve on University Board for one year before being eligible. Vice-Chair

The University Board Vice Chair supports the Board Chair in overseeing Program Leads and University Board Committees, helping ensure effective communication, organization, and follow-through across all initiatives. This role plays a key part in coordinating logistics and leadership efforts for major campus events such as Welcome Weekend and Panther Bash. The Vice Chair also steps in for the Chair when needed and works to strengthen collaboration and accountability within the University Board. Vice Chair must serve on University Board for one semester before being eligible. 

Program Leads

COMMITTEES

Homecoming
The UB Homecoming coordinator and co-coordinator plan and execute EIU’s homecoming in its entirety. With the help of a committee, they organize the parade, oversee the crowning of the homecoming court, and more.

Graphic Designer/Marketing
The UB Graphic Designers create the marketing and promotional materials for all University Board events. From banners to small flyers, the design team works on a wide range of projects. Interested in Graphic Design/Marketing? Apply here!

Productions
The UB Productions Coordinator brings UB events to life through sound and lights. With the help of a committee, this coordinator maintains the board’s equipment and works behind the scenes making sure the technical aspects of UB events run smoothly. Interestd in productions? Apply here!
