Hobart F. Heller Scholarship -- Nominations Due April 19

Nominations from the campus community are being sought for the Hobart F. Heller Scholarship established in honor of the long and distinguished service of Dr. Heller, Vice President for Instruction at the time of his retirement in 1968. Criteria for the scholarship are as follows:  “A person who by reason of scholarship, responsible character, sense of purpose, growth, and service to the University community during his or her first three years and gives promise of a life of distinguished service and leadership.” A nominee must be classified as a junior entering their senior year with the majority of university attendance at Eastern.  The recipient must remain enrolled as a full-time student their senior year. Nomination packets are to be submitted to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs no later than Friday, April 19, 2024. A copy of the application which must be accompanied by a personal statement letter from the nominee and a letter of nomination from  the nominator.  Please don’t hesitate to contact the VPSA office with any questions you might have.
