The 2024 Lions in Winter festival features three internationally known writers: Other Names for Love author Taymour Soomro, ceramist and the author of Cost of Living: Essays Emily Maloney, and Bram Stoker Award and International Latino Book Award winner Cynthia Pelayo.
The festival will feature a catered reception followed by readings and a Q&A session with visiting writers and students, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday January 25. Craft Talks will be presented by the featured writers on Friday January 26 beginning at 3 p.m.
The festival is free and open to the public and will be held at the Doudna Fine Arts Center on EIU's campus.
