Expanded Bereavement Leave Rights became effective January 1, 2023, which expand the ability to take leave without pay for certain losses. Employees may be eligible to take up to 2 weeks (10 working days) of unpaid leave for family losses or losses related to pregnancy or fertility. Human Resources is in the process of updating EIU's bereavement leave policy for non-negotiated employees, IGP 4, to reflect these changes.
