The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services and assists low-income parents with child care payments through 16 Resource & Referral agencies throughout the state. CCR&R covers the counties of Clark, Coles, Cumberland, Edgar, Moultrie and Shelby.
The Illinois Child Care Assistance Program makes it possible for families who qualify to receive financial assistance in paying for child care. Parents must meet the State of Illinois’ income and family size guidelines.
Who is Eligible:
Illinois resident
Be employed and/or going to an eligible educational activity (ESL, high school equivalence, GED, vocational training and 2 and 4 year college degree programs, online classes)
Have family income below 225% of the most current Federal Poverty Level for their family size (see table below) or use the Eligibility Calculator to see if you qualify
Have children younger than 13 that need care while you are working or going to school
