History:
Pemberton Hall was opened in 1909. It was named in honor of State Senator Stanton C. Pemberton, who was influential in getting the appropriation approved for the building of the residence hall. Pemberton Hall is the oldest women's residence hall in the state of Illinois and is a historical landmark.
