Web site Accessibility @ EIU
The EIU Web site was redesigned in 2008 and complies with the Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act. The site has been designed to be web standard compliant which includes:
- Valid HTML/CSS code
- Correct use of heading to identify sections
- Use of lists to identify series of related items
- Use of relative sizes for fonts
- Alternative text for all images
- More accessible forms with labels, legends and fieldsets
