The following is a list of the most common holds that prevent students from being
able to register for classes. Also included is contact information for the office
that has placed the hold. The Office of the Registrar cannot remove holds placed by
other offices, nor can they override the hold to register students.
Listed below are the hold types, the office that placed the hold and how to remove
the hold.
A1ADMISSIONS
You must submit your final official transcript(s), showing all the grades you have
earned from the high schools, colleges, and universities you have attended. To do
so, contact the counselor or records office at each school and ask them to send an
official transcript toadmissions@eiu.eduon your behalf. To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly by the
school. Transcripts can also be sent by the school in a sealed envelope to: Office
