(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University invites students, employees, community members and visitors to participate in a variety of campus and community events taking place June 11-18, 2026.
- Thursday, June 11
- 1 p.m. —The Eastern Illinois University Board of Trustees will hold its regular June meeting Thursday, in the Doudna Fine Arts Center due to a scheduled power outage in The Tarble.
- 5-7 p.m. — EIU Night Out in Springfield
Ace Sign Company Museum, 2450 Singer Ave., Springfield
Eastern Illinois University Alumni Relations will host an EIU Night Out gathering in Springfield. Alumni and friends are invited to connect with fellow Panthers and enjoy an evening of networking and fellowship.
- 6 p.m. — Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting
City Hall Council Chambers, 520 Jackson Ave., Charleston
Members of the Charleston Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning will meet to discuss zoning and planning matters.
- 7:30 p.m. — Charleston Community Band Concert
Daum Amphitheater, Kiwanis Park
The Charleston Community Band will present an evening concert at the outdoor amphitheater. The band performs each Thursday evening throughout the summer season.
- Saturday, June 13
- 7:30-10:30 a.m. — Charleston Farmers Market
Downtown Square, Charleston
Local growers and vendors gather on the historic downtown square to offer fresh produce, baked goods, plants, handcrafted items and other locally produced goods.
- 8 a.m.-Noon — Tour de Charleston
Charleston Chamber of Commerce, 501 Jackson Ave., Charleston
Cyclists of all skill levels are invited to participate in the annual Tour de Charleston. Registration is available online through the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce.

- 3:30 p.m. — Charleston Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Meeting
City Hall Council Chambers, 520 Jackson Ave., Charleston
Members of the Charleston Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will meet to discuss parks, recreation programs and related community initiatives.
- Tuesday, June 16
- 12:05 p.m. — Yoga, Summer Session
Dance Studio, McAfee Gym, 1601 Fourth St., Charleston
Participants should bring a yoga mat to this summer yoga session led by Sarah Daugherty.
- 6:30 p.m. — Charleston City Council Meeting
City Hall Council Chambers, 520 Jackson Ave., Charleston
Charleston City Council members will meet to conduct city business. Meeting agendas are available through the City of Charleston.
- Wednesday, June 17
- 7:05 p.m. — EIU Night at the Ballpark
Wrigley Field, 1060 W. Addison St., Chicago
Alumni and friends of Eastern Illinois University are invited to attend EIU Night at the Ballpark as the Chicago Cubs host an evening game at Wrigley Field.
- Thursday, June 18
- 7:30 p.m. — Charleston Community Band Concert
Daum Amphitheater, Kiwanis Park
