Public Service Announcement/Media Update :: September 2, 2022
In October 2021, Eastern Illinois University President Dr. David Glassman announced his plans to retire from the Presidency at the end of June 2023, also making the EIU community aware that the University was preparing to begin the process of identifying his successor.
Since then, EIU has selected Greenwood/Asher as its search firm for assisting in identifying EIU’s next president. Greenwood/Asher representatives will be on campus Thursday and Friday, September 8 and 9, to conduct stakeholder forums for students, staff, faculty, and local community members designed to inform EIU’s presidential search process.
A session for local community members will take place in the Arcola/Tuscola Rooms on the 3rd floor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. University Union from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Thursday, September 8. EIU invites public participation for those interested in providing their input. Those who wish to participate but cannot attend can the live session may join virtually via Zoom by visiting EIU’s website.
