(Charleston, IL) –Eastern Illinois University’s Doudna Fine Arts Center will showcase the talents of Le Cirque: Spirit of the Machine Tuesday, September 28.
According to its website, Le Cirque Esprit has established a unique identity in American circus by framing the pioneering of contemporary music of cordis under a spectacular tapestry of lights, acrobatics, and aerial work. The result is a one-of-a-kind event Billboard magazine categorized as “sparkling moments that defy classification.”
The new show is based on the Greek mythological tale of “the first machine” called Talos. The performance will feature unique mechanical instruments and breathtaking acrobatics—all paired with classic steampunk-era circus artistry.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Dvorak Concert Hall.
