EIU to host February 7 open house for transfer students

(Charleston, IL) – Eastern Illinois University will host an open house for prospective transfer students Friday, February 7. The event is intended exclusively for students who wish to transfer to EIU from another college university—with or without a transfer degree—and is a great way to experience student life and learn more about EIU’s academic opportunities.

At the open house, prospective students will receive:

• A walking tour of campus and residence halls
• A free lunch in one of EIU’s dining halls
• More information about the admissions, financial aid, and housing process
• An opportunity to meet faculty members from all EIU majors
• An application fee waiver allowing them to apply for free at EIU—a $30 savings

EIU’s open houses create opportunities for prospective students to ask questions answered by professionals—faculty members, students, and staff members from EIU’s Office of Administration—as well as get a feel for the campus and campus life activities.
