EIU Master of Business Administration

Dr. Lu Wang received his Ph.D. in Analytics, Information, and Operations from the University of Kansas. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Lumpkin College of Business and Technology at Eastern Illinois University. Prior to joining Eastern Illinois University, Dr. Wang served as an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics in the Miller College of Business at Ball State University, where he taught a wide range of courses in operations management, business analytics, and business information systems.

Dr. Wang’s research focuses on data-driven analytics in operations, explainable artificial intelligence (AI), and empirical investigations of airline and healthcare operations. His research applies advanced analytical methods to address complex operational challenges and generate actionable insights for organizations. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, and Bioinformatics, among others.
