Register For PMB!

If you are planning on participating in the PMB fall semester (and I hope ALL of you are!) please remember to register for PMB ASAP so we have you on our e-mail list.  Remember that, once you have taken PMB FOR CREDIT for a full semester, then you have the option of taking PMB for NO credit (MUS 0202X) or FOR credit (MUS 0202R).

2021 PMB Fall Shows!

Show planning for the 2021 fall season is currently taking place. One show we are looking at doing may be called Saturday Morning Cartoons. We are considering tunes like The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby Doo, Spongebob Squarepants, etc. Unfortunately, I'm out of the loop on more current Saturday morning cartoons so I need YOUR help!  I'm also looking at a Chick Corea show. He was a very famous and influential jazz pianist who passed away this spring. I'm thinking of Spain, My Spanish Heart (ballad) and another chart. Suggestions for our other two shows are welcome!

Camp is not that far off! Make sure you are taking time to do the following things this summer in order to be prepared:

1. Drink lots of water.

2. Get exercise!

3. Try to get outside during a warmer part of the day, even for 10-15 minutes to help your body prepare for late August heat.

5. Download music and get practicing, especially on the warm-ups.

  • What parts do you prepare for camp? Good question. The best advice I have for you is to print off all parts for each song and prepare the one that you feel most comfortable in performing. Not everyone can be 1st trumpet (or whatever other section)! We want great players on all parts.
