Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Latin American or Latinx History
Position Announcement

The History Department at Eastern Illinois University seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Latin American or Latinx History at the rank of Assistant Professor. Subfields open, though ability to teach courses in U.S. history a plus. The successful candidate will teach survey courses, upper-division and MA courses in their field(s) of specialization, and methods and capstone courses as necessary. This position will contribute to the Latin American and Latinx Studies Minor.

The candidate must demonstrate potential for research and service, a commitment to diversity, and experience promoting inclusive excellence. The candidate may be expected to teach online as needed, with requisite training provided by the university if necessary. PhD required; ABD considered if degree is expected by date of appointment on August 16, 2022.
