Membership Information

The Academy of Lifelong Learning is focused on the learning and growing that happens all throughout the course of one's life in and outside of the classroom. Our goal is to help Charleston and the surrounding communities to embrace the learning that happens in their lives every single day. We offer a variety of free and low-cost classes, workshops, seminars, and clubs that provide value to the community by enriching their life experiences through advancement, development, and self-improvement.

The Academy of Lifelong Learning is sponsored by the School of Extended Learning at Eastern Illinois University. Learning with the Academy is open to all members of the community. Though we strongly encourage membership, courses are available to members and non-members alike. We are committed to the ideas of diversity, inclusion, and accessibility for everyone.
