Our Transfer Equivalency Guide helps students understand how coursework completed at a community college or other institution may transfer to Eastern Illinois University. This resource is intended for planning purposes only.
Students seeking an official transfer credit evaluation should first apply to EIU and submit official transcripts from all current and previously attended colleges and universities. After admission, the Office of the Registrar will complete an official review of transfer coursework within 2–3 business days.
Once the evaluation is complete, students will gain access to their official Degree Audit, which shows how transfer credits have been accepted by EIU and how they apply toward their intended major. Students are encouraged to meet with their admissions counselor to review their Degree Audit, discuss their academic plan, and explore next steps toward degree completion.
