Tutoring

EIU offers tutoring and academic support for many undergraduate courses. Support is available in two main ways:

• Academic Support Center peer tutoring is available for many common 1000-2000 level course topics. These sessions are held in the Academic Support Center, 1611 McAfee Gym. Start here if you are looking for help in a commonly requested general education or introductory course.
• Departmental tutoring and course support is coordinated by individual academic departments. These options may include tutoring schedules, help labs, Writing Center appointments, graduate assistant support, instructor office hours, or course-specific assistance.

If you are not sure where to start, look for your course in the Academic Support Center peer tutoring schedule first. If your course is not listed there, check the department-specific options below or contact your instructor.

Peer Tutoring for Common 1000-2000 Level Courses

Academic Support Center peer tutoring is available for many high-demand 1000-2000 level course topics. These tutoring sessions are held in the Academic Support Center, 1611 McAfee Gym.

Departmental Tutoring & Course Support

Some departments offer additional tutoring, help labs, office hours, writing support, or course-specific assistance. These schedules are managed by the individual departments and may vary by course, semester, location, or tutor availability.
