(for High School Students) This one-week camp allows students to hone their English skills while providing them with a chance to sample life on a college campus and meet peers with similar interests. Students choose two week-long courses to complete in creative writing, literature, professional/academic writing, or media studies.

most recently held in Fall 2024, Handshaking Night is where department Alumni return to campus to meet with current students about their careers and the ways that studying English helped prepare them for a variety of professional experiences.
