Purpose
The Civil Service Council's purpose is to provide advisory counsel to the administration and the Employee Advisory Committee representative of the University Civil Service Merit Board regarding the general interest and welfare of non-negotiated civil service employees. We also review and make recommendations to the University regarding personnel matters involving Non-Negotiated Civil Service Employees.

Nominations are being sought for District II (VPBA Area) Representative - Nomination Deadline April 30, 2024
The Civil Service Council seeks representatives to fill two-year terms from District II (Vice President for Business Affairs) beginning June 1, 2024 and ending May 30, 2026. All District II employees are eligible to run if they meet the following criteria: 1) permanent non-negotiated, 2) continuous non-union, 3) non-academic employee, and 4) not an off-campus contract appointment.
If you are interested, complete the nomination form linked below, or scan the QR code with your cell phone to access it. The system will require you to sign in using your EIU network ID. If you have questions, contact Michelle Morgan (217-581-1107, KH 1030, mlmorgan@eiu.edu). The deadline to submit nominations is April 30, 2024, and the election will be held on May 15, 2024. Winners will be notified on or around May 16, and the results will be posted publicly on the Council website and in the EIU newsletter.
