The Center for Student Innovation wants to thank past instructrors for their workshops.


This workshop introduced the fundamentals of data visualization in GIS, and specifically how to connect data in tabular form (e.g. Excel spreadsheets) with mapped features. Through a step-by-step tutorial, participants created maps of agricultural production by county throughout the U.S. Tips and data sources for mapping other phenomena were also be discussed. Data and software provided.

This workshop presented the basics of resin printer set up and operation. We covered skills such as how to process a 3D model in slicer software, handle resin, start a print and how to post-process. Post-processing included both washing and curing before the part was ready.

This workshop presented the basics of sewing machine set up and operation. We covered skills such as how to thread your sewing machine, wind a bobbin, adjust stitch length and width, change the machine needle, stitch straight and curved seams, and troubleshoot common issues. Scrap fabric were provided for participants.
