Booth Library currently has adjusted services and access to resources due to the University’s response to the global COVID-19 pandemic. This is a fluid and constantly changing situation. Any updates to library hours, services, and resources will be added to this page.
Booth Library is open to EIU students, faculty and staff only from noon-midnight Sundays; 8 a.m.-midnight Mondays through Thursdays; 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays; and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays. All patrons are required to wear face masks and to follow proper social distancing guidelines. Access to the bookshelves is prohibited. Please speak to a staff member to obtain materials from the library's shelves.
Please know that we are providing library access so that those patrons who need computer access and library materials can obtain them. For general safety, however, it is important to limit the number of patrons in our building at any time. For this reason, our building is limited to EIU students, faculty and staff only. Members of the general community are asked to call or email to request a pickup of needed materials. Community members and their families are asked to refrain from entering the library building at this time. Thank you for your understanding!
If possible, please conduct library business online, by phone or email:
