Student Art Association
Hey Art Association!
November is approaching, which means:
1. Our trip to St. Louis is a week from Friday! We are almost out of spots on the vans, but if you want to go, talk to Ann Coddington or myself soon. Also, there is an itinerary posted on Ann's door along with the sign up sheet for the trip, so check it out if you're interested!
2. It's time for a new Passage Gallery theme and show! I'll be taking down the "Change" show and putting all of the work in the "Passage Gallery" flat file in the 2D foundations room for collection. We couldn't fit in a reception for this show, but thanks to everyone who submitted!
The Passage Gallery's November theme is Portraiture. Submissions can vary from portraits of others to self-portraits, representational or non-representational, 2D to 3D, etc. As long as your work was intended as a portrayal of a person, anything is fair game. As always, it is free to submit work, we accept work at any level of completion in any medium, and the maximum number of entries is 3. I'll be collecting work for the Portraiture show in the 2D Foundations room from 5:30 to 6:15 one week from today on Wednesday, November 4th. I know this is short notice, but I'm sure every artist has some portraits laying around. Graphic design students will be using the Passage Gallery in December, so this is our last themed show of the year, let's make it a good one!
3. Our annual Artsgiving Potluck isn't far off! As of right now, the tentative date is Thursday, November 19th, but I'll have more details as we get closer.
Thanks everyone! Let me know if you have questions about anything.
