Taylor Coffman, the College of Arts and Humanities' Student Commencement Speaker for the Spring 2015 Commencement ceremony, earned a bachelor’s degree in History with minors in Asian Studies and Political Science. She is a native of Rockford, Illinois, and a graduate of Guilford High School. She plans to attend EIU’s Graduate School to receive her master’s degree in Political Sciences. Dr. Charles Foy, Associate Professor of History, served as Taylor’s essay mentor. The title of her commencement essay is “Beyond Graduation: The Lessons Learned from Being a Student in the College of Arts and Humanities.”
