At Eastern Illinois University, we take pride in supporting students who are the first in their families to attend college. The Panther First Generation Scholarship is here to help you turn your aspirations into achievements. Award amounts vary based on your unmet financial need but could fill the gap in your cost of attendance!
Eligibility Criteria:
- Submit your application by March 15 on https://eiu.academicworks.com/.
- Be a first-generation college student.
- Be a first-time, full-time student residing in Illinois.
- Have filed a FAFSA or Illinois Alternative Application for the awarding year.
- Demonstrate financial need.
Renewal Criteria:
- Maintain full-time enrollment (12+ hours) fall and spring terms.
- Continue to file a FAFSA or Illinois Alternative Application each year of the award.
- Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress in your studies.
