As president of Eastern Illinois University, allow me to welcome you to our wonderful university! I am proud to represent Eastern’s talented faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Together, we are ALL IN as we continue to enthusiastically uphold EIU’s reputation as a first-choice regional option in Illinois higher education.
Through our exceptional people, EIU promotes an encouraging, inclusive community of lifelong learners. We are dedicated to helping students succeed by creating myriad opportunities for personal and professional growth. Each year, EIU helps hundreds of students achieve their educational goals, confidently and competently preparing them to enter the next phase of their lives. For that reason, our growing EIU Family shares a tight-knit bond galvanized by a lifelong love for our alma mater and each other. Simply stated, our students feel at home here, because they are.
For more than 120 years, EIU’s tradition of excellence has been shaped by the resolve it exhibits daily. EIU’s welcoming atmosphere is defined by the passionate scholarship, engaged inquisitiveness, and endless support shared by every area and person on campus. As president, I wish to extend the confidence I have in Eastern Illinois University to prepare our students to invent their own remarkable futures.
