President's Award

Each year, the President’s Award is presented to a first-year student who was selected from the top twenty students of the fall semester, based on GPA, leadership, desire to serve and character.

This award is application by nomination only. The selection committee will process applications and offer the award via Academic Works.

The following criteria must be met:

  2. Selection is limited to those who have achieved the maximum allowable credit hours for first-year during the Spring Semester and have completed all their college studies at EIU.
  3. To be eligible, after nomination, the recipient must submit a formal application, addressing:
    1. Their interest in receiving the award
    2. Their desire and need for financial assistance
    3. Other information requested by the selection committee.
  4. Additionally, the chosen recipient should demonstrate qualities of leadership, a commitment to service, and possess good moral character.

This award will be selected and disbursed in the Spring semester.
