The Simple Steps to Becoming EIU

Applying to the Political Science Graduate Program is a two part process:

  1. Submit application materials via MyEIU. If you are an international student, make sure you designate yourself as such in MyEIU; otherwise, choose the Graduate School when you log into MyEIU.
  2. Once you are admitted to EIU, submit application materials to the Political Science Program in MyEIU.
Applications for admission to the Political Science Graduate Program are accepted at any time.
Applications for Graduate Assistantships (available only for full-time students who can be on campus daily) must be complete by November 1 for Spring assistantships, or March 1 for Fall assistantships.
If you need to change the semester in which you intend to enroll, please use this form: Application update.
Please email the Political Science Graduate Coordinator, Professor Melinda Mueller at mamueller@eiu.edu with any questions about your application. We look forward to having you join our program!
