How do I change my password?
I do NOT know my current password:
- If you do not know your current password and need to change it, visit https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com
- After you create a new password, it may take up to 10 minutes before you can log in with it.
- When the form asks for your email address, enter your EIU email address.
- After you submit the form, instructions will be sent to the personal email address you provided to EIU.
I do know my current password:
If you know your current password and want to change it, you have two options:
- Visit https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info , open Security Info from the menu and select Change.
- Visit https://myaccount.microsoft.com/ and select Change Password on the right.
- After you create a new password, it may take up to 10 minutes before you can log in with it.
EIU Password Requirements:
Your password must meet all of the rules below:
- It cannot be a password you have used before
- It must begin with a letter
- It must be at least 14 characters long
- It must include both uppercase and lowercase letters
- It must contain at least one number
- It must include at least one special character
- Only these special characters are allowed:
- minus sign: -
- underscore: _
- colon: :
- asterisk: *
- exclamation point: !
- dollar sign: $
- period: .
- comma: ,

Personal Recovery Email:
- To change/update your personal recovery email, visit mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info, find your current personal recovery email and select Change.
