Subject: Off-Campus Crime Information

The following information, provided by the Charleston Police Department, is being shared as means of assisting in an on-going investigation and as an informational sharing measure.

According to a Charleston Police Department Press Release:
On 09-15-13 at 2:24am, Charleston Police responded to 634 W. State Street in reference to a shots fired call. Upon arrival police located two gunshot victims as well as a battery victim. All three injured people were transported to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center by the Charleston Fire Department.

The gathering was promoted by G.O.M.A.B. Productions out of the Chicago area. The event was advertised as a "Barn Party" and was hosted by Eastern Illinois University fraternity Phi Beta Sigma. When police arrived at the party they observed between 300-400 people. The investigation is currently on going.
