ITS Restructuring Announcement
On July 6, I announced that we would be restructuring Information Technology Services (ITS) to ensure that the unit has the positions and skills required to meet the university's present and future computing needs.
Based on the restructuring analysis, we determined that several positions were no longer aligned with the university's current service needs. Further, this situation could not be fully addressed by attrition alone. Therefore, in addition to eliminating vacant positions, some staffed positions are being eliminated. Established procedures are being followed for all affected employees.
I believe that this reorganization is an essential step to achieve President Perry's established goals for the university.
