The Office of Admissions would like to invite you to join President Perry and the Admissions staff for a very special recruitment event at EIU:
CHS@EIU Night Tuesday, October 30, 2012 6:30-9 pm
This event is an opportunity to welcome Charleston High School juniors, seniors, and their parents to our campus to experience firsthand the wonderful community and various opportunities Eastern has to offer for them. We are inviting our faculty and support services staff, current EIU students who graduated from CHS and their parents to this event to further build our relationship between CHS and EIU. The event will include a mini-Academic and Support Services Fair, a flashlight tour, a group photo scavenger hunt and light refreshments. Our goal is to let students know that although Eastern is just down the street, a world of opportunity exists on our campus that they might consider in a new light after spending the evening with us.
As a new member of the campus community it is clear to me that a big part of what makes Eastern such a special place is its people. You are EIU! So this event will be a great success if you are able to participate. If you are a CHS graduate, we would especially like for you to attend the event to show your Trojan and Panther pride!
Below you will find the tentative schedule for the evening. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We will be sending further specific communication to those who RSVP.

6:30 Welcome President Perry, Brenda Major, Student Speakers 1st Floor Hallway, Old Main
6:45-7:30 Academic and Support Services Fair* 1st Floor Hallway, Old Main
7:30-8:30 Tours
Students can choose one or more of the following types of tours during this time:
Department Tours (30 minute tours given by department participants)
Flashlight Tour & Scavenger Hunt
Residence Hall Tours
*If you plan to participate in the Academic and Support Services Fair, please RSVP to Karenlee Spencer (kspencer@eiu.edu) by Friday, October 19 and be prepared to begin at 6:30 p.m.
