Subject: TESTING of Alert EIU Text Message and E-Mail System
Updates have recently been made to the University's Alert EIU text message emergency notification system and email emergency notification system. At approximately 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012, a test will be conducted of these updates. A test text message will be sent to subscribers via the Alert EIU system. All EIU students, faculty, and staff who have a valid E-number are able to register for Alert EIU notifications which alert subscribers to emergency situations. If you are not already registered for the Alert EIU system and would like to do so, please go to the Alert EIU website at http://www.eiu.edu/alerteiu/. A test email message will be sent to the EIU email account of students and employees. Both of these test messages will clearly indicate that they are a test.
