Subject: Strategic planning update
The university's new strategic plan will be presented to the Board of Trustees for a first reading in their Friday, January 20 meeting.
Drafts of the strategic plan have been circulated to a number of campus governance groups for review and comment. In addition, three open sessions have been scheduled for the campus community. All three open sessions will be held in the Paris Room of the MLK University Union. The sessions are scheduled for
* Tuesday, January 17 at 3:30 p.m.
* Wednesday, January 18 at 9:00 a.m.
* Wednesday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m.
The most recent draft of the strategic plan will be available Friday morning on the strategic planning website (http://www.eiu.edu/strategicplanning/); the download link will be in the "News & Updates" item about the above open sessions.
The strategic plan has resulted from a campus-wide collaborative effort, and I greatly appreciate the deliberations, discussions and hard work that have brought us to this final stage of the planning process.
