Subject: EIU Migrating to Microsoft MFA
Dear EIU Annuitant,
On March 16th, EIU will transition all annuitants from Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo) to Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (Microsoft MFA).
The setup takes about 15 minutes and must be completed on your next EIU login. If you're near Charleston and need help, we recommend stopping by the Help Desk in person.
Microsoft MFA is included in EIU’s existing license, which lowers costs and helps us maintain services without increasing student fees.
What This Means for You
Starting Monday, March 16, when you sign into Panthermail, you will be prompted to enroll in Microsoft MFA.
The “call me” feature is no longer supported. If you cannot install the Microsoft Authenticator app on a supported device (such as a smartphone), you will need to use a YubiKey. Please contact the Help Desk so we can prepare one for you.
