Subject: URGENT - EIU Campus Power Outage
An electrical power outage occurred on areas of campus south of Garfield Street at about 3 pm, Wednesday, November 3, because of a water main break that caused flooding in an electrical vault at Coleman Hall. As of 4:15 pm, power remained out at Coleman, Lumpkin, Andrews and Taylor Halls. Power is expected to be restored to Lumpkin, Andrews and Taylor Halls on Wednesday evening. It is not yet known when power will be restored to Coleman Hall. Information regarding relocation and/or cancellation of classes will be available on the University's website.
