Subject: Banner/PAWS Background Database Maintenance - March 9th, 2023
On March 9, ITS will begin Banner/PAWS background database maintenance; this is required for necessary future upgrades. While no Banner/PAWS downtime is expected, slowness could occur periodically between March 9-12. Additionally, many campus reports will be displaying “as of March 8” data for the duration of the upgrade. All upgrades are anticipated to be completed by March 13.
Banner/PAWS Background Database Maintenance
3/8/2023 - Midterm grades closed.
3/9/2023 thru 3/12/2023 - 9 a.m. begin background maintenance. Banner/PAWS available with periodic slowness.
3/9/2023 thru 3/11/2023 - ODS/reporting available but data remains as of 3/8/2023.
3/12/2023 - ODS/reporting unavailable.
3/13/2023 - ODS/reporting available and current. Banner/PAWS background maintenance complete.
During database maintenance, Banner may be slow at times. If you are running processes, please give it some extra time to complete. If you have questions, please email dba@eiu.edu.
