Subject: EIU VPN & Duo MFA Process Update
To better secure EIU resources, ITS is updating our Virtual Private Network (VPN) sign-in process. As of November 3rd, 2021, you will be asked to use your Duo Multifactor Authentication (MFA) as part of the VPN connection process.

During the connection process you will be asked for:
Username: EIU NetID
Password: Your EIU NetID Password
Second Password: Use One of the MFA Options
Select one of the Duo MFA options:
Type “push” (no quotes) within the Second Password field for the Duo MFA Push
Type “phone” (no quotes) within the Second Password field for a Duo MFA phone call
Type in the rotating 6-digit code from the Duo Mobile MFA app into the Second Password field
Select the Second Password field and tap your YubiKey
