There has been an increasing number of Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) phishing attempts. The attacker has used email and text messages to target Illinois residents.
The message is not from EIU or IDES, please do not download or click any links and delete the message immediately. If you have downloaded or clicked any links, please change your password immediately at https://password.eiu.edu.
If you have filled out the form, please contact EIU Human Resources at 217-581-3514.
Be aware of suspicious emails. Evaluate any message with caution that involved emotion, authority, or urgency. Check https://eiu.edu/verify for official email communications. If something appears strange, report them to phishing@eiu.edu.
