All EIU faculty members, staff, and students now have a fully licensed Knowmia account acquired via the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEER).
Techsmith Knowmia is a video creation and sharing platform that helps maximize student engagement. You now have access to:
A web-based recorder to easily create new videos of yourself and your screen.
An online library where you can store videos.
Upload your own video or import video from YouTube into your Knowmia library.
An easy way to access, manage, and share your Knowmia videos from inside your D2L Brightspace course.
A simple way to add Quizzes or a threaded Conversation to any video.
A free mobile app (TechSmith Fuse) that allows you to import any video content from your phone or tablet directly into your Knowmia Library.
ADA Compliance Support to automatically transcribe video's audio into captions via the speech-to-text generator.
