Subject: PAWS W-2 CONSENT
EIU Employee:
Do not wait to receive your 2020 W-2 in the mail. EIU employees can consent to receive their W-2 in PAWS. Your consent provides immediate access to any prior year W-2 and access to your 2020 W-2 as soon as it becomes available in January. This is a one-time consent and will not be necessary to repeat each year. You may revoke your consent at any time by contacting the Payroll Office.
If you choose to receive your W-2 statement electronically, a paper W-2 will not be printed and mailed at the end of January. Paper W-2’s will be mailed to the last known address EIU has on file. If you have had an address change during 2020, please contact the Human Resources Office to update your address.
To activate your W-2 consent please follow these directions:
• Log-in to PAWS: https://www.eiu.edu/pawslogin/
• Select the EMPLOYEE tab
• Select TAX FORMS
• Select W-2 WAGE AND TAX STATEMENT
• Select 2019*, then click DISPLAY
• A pop-up message will appear indicating you will need to provide CONSENT. Click OK
• Under MY CHOICE, check the box that indicates you consent to receive your W-2 electronically. Click SUBMIT
• Your consent is now complete.
Be watching the newsletter and your email in January. You do not want to miss the release of the online 2020 W-2s.
*Employees with an original hire date in 2020 may consent to receive their W-2 online as soon as their 2020 W-2 is available.
