Subject: Appworx Upgrade at 4:45pm on Monday, June 10, 201

We are in the process of upgrading AppWorx to the latest version available.



After the upgrade, you will no longer go to a website to launch AppWorx - instead, you will launch it directly from a shortcut. These shortcuts should already be inside of your start menu, in a folder under the title "Appworx." (see picture to the left). You should also be able to hit the windows key and just begin typing AppWorx. The correct result will be listed as a Desktop Application - not a Web Search or Web Result.



The shortcuts use the 4-character shorthand for each of the AppWorx instances. Production is AppWorx - AMPROD. If you do not already see these shortcuts in your start menu, Please email the help desk at techsupport@eiu.edu or call 581-4357. All Non-Production instances have already been upgraded and are accessible via the shortcuts now. The Production shortcut will not work until after the scheduled downtime, however, if you would like to make sure you can open any of the other instances (PPRD, TREL, TRNG, PAYR, TEST), then you will know that the Production shortcut will work following the upgrade.



All queued or scheduled jobs that occur during the downtime will complete when the server is available again. They will not need to be manually rescheduled or restarted.



Production Appworx is scheduled to be upgraded on 4:45pm on Monday, June 10, 2019.
