Subject: Registration OPEN - 9th Annual Diversity Conference on Friday, February 3, 2017

Dear EIU Student,

EIUnity would like to extend you an invitation to attend our 9th Annual Diversity Conference on Friday, February 3, 2017 in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union entitled “I AM Because WE Are” which was designed to raise diversity awareness and advocacy across EIU’s campus.  We would LOVE for you to attend!  The conference registration starts at 8:00 am with workshops 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and all meals will be provided during the conference…FREE and informative!  If you would like to participate during a particular time slot because of classes or work– that would be fine as well.  You will still need to register for the session(s) that you would like to attend.  However, we do ask if you want to attend the luncheon, you will need to be registered for the entire day or either the morning sessions or afternoon sessions as well.

We have some AWESOME topics and presenters – We are also offering Safe Zone Training Sessions (Safe Zone Core, Beyond Bystander & Trans 101) and registration for this is required as well.  The full itinerary is on our website.  Please click on this link http://www.eiu.edu/minoraff/machform/embed.php?id=13review the session topics and click the registration on the bottom of the page.  Thank you so much for assisting in creating an inclusive and accepting environment on our campus.  Deadline for registration is Monday, January 30th  @ 4:30 pm.

Thank you, we hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,

Mona Y. Davenport, Ph.D.
