Our commencement ceremonies last weekend were excellent! Thank you to all the faculty, staff, student, and annuitant volunteers who freely gave their Saturday time to make the event very special and meaningful to our graduates. I met several graduates and families between ceremonies and after the last ceremony and heard again and again praise for our faculty and staff who made the EIU experience second to none. I also received several very positive comments on the ceremonies—they were special for our students and their families. Our student commencement speakers and our invited commencement speakers brought resonant messages regarding the very positive influence EIU had on their lives. The entire day reinforced again that each one of us makes a great difference in the lives of our students, as we prepare them to become responsible citizens and leaders. Thank you all for all you do for EIU.
