Dear Colleagues:
As most of you know, my contract as president continues through June, 2015, just a little over a year from now. Very recently, I informed the Board of Trustees of the university that I did not wish to extend my contract past the June, 2015 date. I made this decision at this point so that the university would have ample time to search for a new president.
I will, of course, continue to do my very best in serving the university as president until my tenure ends. Just as I have done from the beginning of my service in 2007, I look forward to continuing to work with you as we forge opportunities and meet our challenges, always with an eye to providing the very best higher education experience for our students.
Serving as EIU's president is a great privilege. Thank you for your continuing support.
