We have received a few questions about the MAP Grant deadline for 2014-15. To clarify, students must file the 2014-15 FAFSA by Thursday, 2-27-14, to be eligible to receive the MAP Grant. Students who file Friday, 2-28-14 or after, will be placed in suspension. MAP Grant is only provided to Illinois residents who meet criteria.

The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is announcing a deadline of 2014-15 Monetary Award Program (MAP) grants for all students whose initial 2014-15 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is received by the Central Processing System (CPS) on or after Friday, February 28th, 2014.
The February 27th FAFSA filing deadline, which is the earliest in MAP history, is the result of continuing state budget difficulties and an unprecedented number of early applicants.
