Subject: Reminder – EIU Employees are required to change their password every 6 months

All EIU employees are required to change their password every 6 months. In the past, ITS has sent an email to all employees setting a deadline of mid-to-late October for changing your password. However, beginning September 30, ITS will be sending emails only to employees who have not reset their password. The emails will be sent 20 days, 10 days, 5 days, and 1 day prior to your password expiring. Failure to change your password will result in the inability to access a variety of EIU services.

Below is an example of the email you will receive.

It is time to change your EIU password. Your password expires in xxx days. You will continue to receive reminder emails until your password has been changed.

To change your password, please go to the EIU Homepage:
-Go to A-Z (at the top right of the screen)
-Choose the letter P
-Choose Password Change
-Enter your EIU NetID and current password
-Create security questions (if you have not done so already)
-Enter new password and confirm
-Choose Change Password
After setting your new password, please remember to change it in any applications (Outlook, Mac Mail, phone syncing email) that may require it.
