EIU Civil Service Council Scholarship

The Civil Service Council has developed an annual scholarship for EIU students related to EIU non-negotiated employees.

The scholarship is awarded in the Spring and funded in the Fall. 

The application deadline for Fall 2024 is April 30, 2024.

Scholarship Criteria:

• Applicant must be a child, grandchild, of a current, former, or retired non-negotiated civil service employee. (Applicant will be responsible for identifying relationship, position and year retired – if applicable.)
• Applicant must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours.
• Applicant must also have a GPA of 2.5 or above and in good academic standing at EIU or a high school senior accepted to EIU and enrolling in a minimum of 6 semester hours with class rank in the top 25 percent.
• Financial need of the applicant will be considered and will need to be demonstrated during the application process.
